Antique English stoneware 1 gallon jug. Salt glazed vintage alcohol crock made around the 1930's for the S F Jones & sons in Manchester, England. This style of flagon was popular from the 1880's right up until the early 1950's as it was cheap to manufacture. Complete with original cork bung there is a lot of writing on the actual body of the jug. There are no makers marks anywhere which is not unusual for everyday items of the period.
