Antique 1908 religious Temperance Knights of Father Mathew button medal. This antique Father Theobald Mathew medal was issued to attendees of the supreme council convention held by the Knights of Father Matthew in St Louis in1908. This convention held a banquet in the Jefferson hotel to celebrate their allegiance to the Temperance cause of sobriety . The medal depicts an image of the society's founder Father Theobald Mathew. on the obverse and the date and location on the reverse.
