Antique framed textile art collage. Constructed from 40 individual small silk cards depicting mainly British military coats of arms, flags and football teams. Most of these individual items were found in Philip Godfreys BDV cigarette packets during the 1910's/20's as promotional gifts. They are all quilted together on old backing material surrounding a home sweet home central embroidery. Altogether presented nicely in a wooden frame behind glass this is ready to display as is.

Each 2" by 1.5" coat of arms is marked with its regimental name and is sewn in thick gold color wool thread to another one to create this quilted effect.

This would make a great birthday gift, man cave gift or housewarming gift.

MEASUREMENTS

Framed textile measures 19" tall by 17" wide and weighs 3lb 15oz.

CONDITION

This textile is in fair condition considering age and use. There is some fading and signs of aging throughout the silk regimental pieces (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
