18th Century "The Book of Common Prayer" - 1771

DESCRIPTION

Antique religious book printed in Cambridge, England in 1771. Antique leather bound Book of Common Prayer printed prior to the American Revolution. Traces of the gold leaf embossing are still present on the cover surrounds and spine, albeit faint after almost 250 years.

and Edward Dilly, in London; and T. & J. Merrill,
in Cambridge, 1771.

MEASUREMENTS

Antique book measures 7“ long by 4.25“ wide by 1.5" deep and weighs 14oz.

CONDITION

In good condition with signs of use commensurate with age. The binding is still tight. The leather cover has wear and tear to the spine. Pencil inscription on inner cover page (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
