DESCRIPTION

Early 19th century European horn snuff pill box. This small tobacco snuff box is made from animal horn and is decorated with a small oval miniature painting of the French Emperor Napoleon III. The miniature depicts Napoleon III wearing the red sash and breast star of the legion d'honneur, and the neck badge of the Spanish Order of the golden fleece.

This would make a great addition to your primitive home decor, vintage snuff, military or miniature painting collection.

MEASUREMENTS

Horn box measures 3.25" long by 1.85" wide by 0.85" deep and weighs just over 2oz.

CONDITION

In good solid condition and ready to use with almost no wear or tear commensurate with age (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
