Antique brass panther andirons/chenets. Ornately cast art deco brass chenets or andirons in the form of highly stylized cats. The panthers have their tongues protruding from their mouths and the base is decorated with what appear to be eastern symbols on the bulbous spheres behind. As with all highly exquisite pieces it has been cast in several pieces and then constructed. These are believed to be French in origin as the previous owners family came from Paris in the late 1930's.

These would make a great birthday gift, housewarming gift or as decorative art accent pieces in any high class art decor property..

Andirons measure 21.75" tall by 12" long by 5.5" wide and each weigh 13lb 1oz.
