DESCRIPTION

Original Jugenstil Kayserzinn pewter flagon. Large lidded flagon in typical linear Jugendstil style with French art nouveau floral design throughout. Made from the famous Kayserzinn Kayserzinn" or "Kayser pewter", a special lead-free alloy of tin and silver distinguished by its lasting gleam this was probably designed by one of the big four Karl Geyer (1858-1912), Hermann Fauser(1874-1947), Karl Berghof(1881-1967) Hugo Leven (1874-1956) . The quality and beauty of these designers was surpassed only by that of Archibald Knox, Liberty's main pewter designer.

MEASUREMENTS

Jugenstil flagon measures 14.5" tall by 7.5" deep by 9" wide and weighs 5lbs 4oz.

CONDITION

In good condition overall and would most likely benefit from a good polish (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
