Antique prohibition Carry A Nation jewelry lapel brooch. This vintage WCTU brooch depicts a brass hatchet with the slogan " Death to Rum". This vintage promotional jewelry was sold by Carry Amelia Nation to support her temperance political campaign against alcohol around 1900.

Carrie Nation was the infamous axe wielding prohibitionist. Born into poverty and ill health in 1846, she would become one of the most iconic, militant figures of the Temperance Movement.
