1920s Studio Photograph of Frank Tenney Johnson by Edwards-Hostetler
Stunning and incredibly rare original black and white silver print photograph of Frank Tenney Johnson dressed in a suit taken by Edwards Hostetler during the 1930's. The photograph is matt and has the studio name of Edwards-Hostetler embossed at the bottom right hand corner.
This was acquired from one of the original estate trustees from his nephew around 30 years ago along with several other personal effects which will be listed accordingly. An amazing photograph of incredible historic importance, the owner was also prominent art collector in Los Angeles. Frank Tenney Johnson was a painter of the Old American West, and he popularized a style of painting cowboys which became known as "The Johnson Moonlight Technique". He died in Pasadena in 1939.

The photograph measures 10" tall by 8" wide.
