DESCRIPTION

Vintage large round dark purple glass match holder striker. The match strike has a ridged stem for striking the match on with a round catchment glass tray underneath. Dating from the first quarter of the 20th century this vintage barware accessory would have been found in bars and cafes across the country. A lot of these match strikes were used for liquor advertising. This particular one is made from a single piece of glass and contains some bubbles on the underside.

This would suit any living room or smoking parlor now or be used on a dining room table as a toothpick holder when entertaining. A great housewarming or early holiday gift idea.
