Vintage advertising leather bank bag. Vintage purse was issued by the Farmer & Merchants Bank in Stockton California in the 1920's. This promotional leather purse was offered to clients as an incentive to deposit money. The simple frame is metal which holds the supple leather body.

Their was a certain stigma of wealth associated with having a bank account and therefore the bag was an advertisement of this.

A great addition to your vintage bag or purse collection.

Item measures 5.5“ wide by by 8“ tall and weighs 3 oz.

CONDITION

In good workable condition with signs of use commensurate with age. There are some stains on leather (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
