Vintage bronze sculpture of "The Sergeant" designed by Frederic Remington. Cast most likely in the 1950's or 60's, it is signed in the casting on the back of the plinth with the Frederic Remington copyright, on the side with his name and on the back. This vintage patinated bronze is mounted on a green marble bevelled base by one single bolt.

On examination of the base there is no number which leads us to determine that it is an authorized posthumous recast and not to be mistaken as an original lifetime casting.

MEASUREMENTS

Sculpture measures (without marble base) 9.75" tall by 6.5" wide at the hat brim, a 2.25" deep by 2.5" wide column. The marble base measures 4.5" wide by 4.5" deep by 1" thick and altogether weighs 12lb 9oz.
