Vintage WW2 Seth Thomas Mark I Deck Clock Brass Nickel Plated US Navy Black Face
DESCRIPTION
Authentic working World War II vintage ship’s clock made for the U.S. Maritime Commission by the Seth Thomas clock company. The black dial is marked “MARK I DECK CLOCK U.S. NAVY N 1157, 1939” in the center, then “Made By Seth Thomas In U.S.A.” below the 6. The metal case is unmarked. Currently working well and although the key is missing it can be wound up using a number 6 key which was used to test it.
This would make a great birthday gift, nautical man cave gift or housewarming gift.
MEASUREMENTS
Clock case measures 7.75" diameter by 3" deep and weighs 7lb 11oz.
CONDITION
This clock is in good condition considering age and use. It does keep time well and runs strong when wound but I would recommend having the movement cleaned to ensure proper time is kept. No key is included and the mounting base is not present (but it winds with a number 6) and there is some scratching to the metal and glass case (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
