Antique Ceramic Royal Doulton Pickwickians Matchstrike
Vintage Royal Doulton Kingsware ceramic open match strike with silver rim. Decorated with the image of a Dickens scene from the Pickwick Papers this piece is aptly named "The Pickwickians" on the back. The hallmarked silver strike is crisp making it ideal for immediate use.

Top rim is sterling silver and marked:

?? & Sons: Denoting makers mark
G : Denoting year mark for 1922
Lion Passant: Denoting Sterling silver standard
Leopards Head: Denoting London Assay mark
Also hand marked with a number 408119 which may be a service number as seen on antique watches.

Match strike measures 3.25“ base diameter by 2.25" tall and weighs 9.2oz.
CONDITION
